Introducing Sadie Elaine

Sadie was born on April 29 at 11:44 pm. She measured 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 20 in. As you can see from the pictures, we have had quite the eventful week. Sadie was on oxygen for the first 24 hours and on glucose and antibiotics for the first 48 hours. After brief visit home, Sadie got to return to the hospital and spend some time in her first tanning bed. We are happy to announce that she is finally home and healthy. I'll post more pictures and details about her birth soon. You can rest assured there are more pictures where these came from!

What an ordeal! I bet she is worth every moment of it. Good luck on the first 2 weeks of recovery/breast feeding. They are the worst, and then it isn't so bad. I am excited to meet her eventually and have her meet Eli. I hope the blessing goes well. Congrats to your family!

Congratulations! I am glad she is home now doing well. James spent his first 12 hours under an oxygen hood. It was rough. I was so happy when I finally got to hold him! Here's to a very healthy childhood for your little Sadie!
